Myrtle's Story...
Myrtle is such a fun kitten! She is super active and loves to run around the house! However, if you ever sit down, she will be the first to crawl right into your lap and start purring up a storm! She has been fostered by a loving family that has showered her with affection. She is well socialized with big dogs and older cats (even grumpy ones). She is a ball of fun and ready to take home today!

Come meet Myrtle at our adoption events in Petsmart on Shepherd & Alabama every Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm. You can also call 303-641-8327, if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Myrtle, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
