Kaylee's Story...
Hi I’m Kaylee.

I don’t really know what happened to me before, but a nice person found me walking around Kings County and I was covered in these things called foxtails. The people who helped me said I felt like a porcupine, there was so many. They pulled out a lot, and then shaved me and found 40 more embedded in my skin. It hurt so badly to get them removed, but I was so grateful for it.

I didn’t really know what to do when I was first brought home, so I froze and shutdown. It took some time with this wonderful lady called Cheryl, before I started to really feel safe again. I’m now outgoing and I just discovered the joy of toys and that other dogs are meant for playing with!

I’m approximately 1 year old, a poodle mix, and weigh in around 11lbs. I don’t mind my crate, but
definitely enjoy your space more! I’m almost completely house trained – sometimes I forget that I have to go outside, but I’m getting a lot better!

I come spayed, updated on all my shots (including rabies), dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and even seen by a vet to make sure I’m ok to come up to Canada!

I sure hope you want to meet me and love me forever. If you do, please contact the nice people at
CaliCan Rescue to start the application so we can meet and begin our trial visit together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaylee, a Edmonton Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
