Frankie's Story...
Frankie is a beautiful boy who was found as a stray in rural Alabama. Thankfully, a good samaritan took him home. They called us after he was accused of killing a neighbor's chicken. Given his severely underweight condition, we believe he was simply starving and not being vicious. He has proven to be super sweet and our vet guesses he is 2 to 3 years old. He loves children! Frankie is being checked out at the vet and will be neutered. He is being fed a high fat diet to get him up to a healthy weight. In the next week, we plan to determine his status with cats and other dogs. Stay tuned as we learn more about this gorgeous boy! See him at www.adoptagoldenbirmingham.com. or call 205 290-7788, or email lindsay@adoptagoldenbirmingham.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frankie, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
