Manny's Story...
Darla was a young pregnant cat when she turned up at a kind hearted woman?s door. She had been someone?s pet as she was friendly but shy and scared. She sought shelter on the woman?s deck in a shelter built for her as the woman was not able to take her in but did feed her. Unfortunately a neighbour had a dog trained to attack cats and Darla was bullied by him. She gave birth to her kittens but only Manny survived and he has only three legs. It is unclear whether this is a congenital issue or whether Manny was attacked by the dog at a young age. Darla stuck by Manny?s side through the winter and helped him survive. Eventually a cat rescue (Urban Cat Relief) stepped up to help these two. Darla has been spayed and Manny has been neutered and they have had their shots. They are now in a foster home and it would be wonderful for them to be adopted together. Both Darla and Manny are shy but very affectionate and purr easily. Manny?s disability does not stop him from running and jumping and playing almost as if he has all four legs?he is a brave happy little guy! They need a quite environment and some TLC to help them blossom into the amazing animal companions they will become. About Our Rescue Group...
Urban Cat Relief (Formerly - Fostering Felines) is a network of loving and experienced foster homes. Our volunteers open up their heart and homes and allow our rescued cats and kittens the opportunity to be a part of the family until they are adopted. Our cat rescue is also involved in feral cat colonies. We practice T.N.R (Trap, Neuter & Return) to help control the population and prevent needless suffering. We promote spay/neuter and proper pet care.

Our Adoption Process...
Urban Cat Relief (Formerly - Fostering Felines) strives to make the best possible between our cats and adopters. Our foster homes are observant and spend quality time with the cats to learn what makes them the happiest. Our interview process begins with a phone call and we will ask about your home and family. The adopters are welcome to ask any questions. We can then arrange a meet & greet to make sure that everyone is happy! Our adoption fees do vary but always include 1st vaccinations, deworming and a vet check for our kittens and adult cats will always be either spayed or neutered, have up to date vaccines and will have been examined by a vet. We are up front about any health issues and provide health records.
