Rose, Vanilla, and Mary's Story...
The current owner says... 'I have 3 female cats in need of a loving home. They are clean, spayed and vaccinated. They are friendly and very affectionate. Their names are Mary and Rose (sisters, 9 yrs old) and Vanilla (6 yrs old). My allergies are getting worse and I cannot longer keep them. Looking for a home for all three, or for Mary and Rose to remain together (they have never been apart). Vanilla can be adopted by herself. I have more pictures available. Also, would like to ad that Vanilla is very playful. Rose loves to have her tummy rubbed, and Mary loves to have her head and back rubbed as well. They all come to the door to say hi when I get home. They have made me very happy; I am sure they will make someone new happy. It is hard to do this, but my allergies are not getting better (regardless of medication).' For more information on Rose, Vanilla & Mary or to inquire about adopting her, please contact our volunteers at 905-597-8273 or by email at ucrcats@live.ca.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, Vanilla, and Mary, a Toronto Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
