My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fiona was in such terrible shape when we rescued her from the kill list. She was dirty, skinny and covered in ticks. We are happy to say that she is now cleaning, putting on weight and tick-free. She actually looks white now, not gray-ish white.

Fiona is affectionate girl who enjoys humans and canines alike. She is not pushy but rather she's a polite little girl who waits her turn. She walks nicely on the leash and is happy to follow your lead, be it fast or slow. We expect with the cooler weather that she'll prefer some longer walks where she can get out and smell all the latest neighborhood gossip!

She's a bit shy of new things, not fearful, just not trusting of new things. We are socializing her to our big human world. Sadly, we don't think she saw much of it before or rather maybe what she did see was not a very nice place. Parks, grass, sprinklers to run in, cars to ride in and cafes to hang out in are all new things for our sweet girl. But she's adapting well and enjoying it!

Fiona is still young and will need an active home to keep her mind and her body exercised. Basic obedience classes would be a great bonding experience for her and her new family. We are confident she'll be the star pupil!
