Shelby's Story...
Shelby is a lovely two year old Dachshund/Doberman mix. (There may be something else in there too!) As you can see from her pictures, she is just adorable. She weighs 23 lbs., is spayed, UTD on shots and micro-chipped. Shelby is a lovable girl with lots of energy, so a home which can provide daily exercise is important. Shelby is good with kids, other dogs (like her friend Simba in the picture) and cats. She likes rope toys, fetching balls and going to the dog park. Shelby also likes to go in streams and creeks where she happily bites at the water. She is often playful but gets a little timid outside on windy/rainy days. Her most favorite activity is to cuddle up with people. She currently know the following commands: sit, paw, down and wait. We hope that very soon she will have a new home where she can be the center of attention and cuddle to her hearts content. Please contact us today to arrange a meeting with Shelby. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Stroudsburg Dachshund/Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Doberman Pinscher for sale in Stroudsburg, or seeking a Dachshund/Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Stroudsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stroudsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stroudsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stroudsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
