Taco's Story...
Taco

Est. DOB: June 1, 2012
Description: DSH Black
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $100.00

Taco is a pretty laid back kitten. He’s chatty, like his siblings and enjoys playing but prefers kittens his own age.

He’s a friendly boy but when it’s time to snuggle he’s most likely to pick a sibling for nap time.

Taco has been fostered in a home with small children and does just fine, although sometimes he may prefer a little less action than his siblings.

Taco is one of the “Mexican Food” kittens and he and his siblings were rescued from a feral colony where TNR is underway.

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taco, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
