Phoenix is an adorable American Pit Bull Terrier/Lab mix. She is around 6 - 7 years old, spayed, micro-chipped and UTD on shots. Phoenix is a very sweet, loving, funny girl. She completed her Basic Obedience class at WAGD and did great. Phoe gets along well with polite dogs. Joseph is her best buddy. They go for walks together and play together. Here's what we know about this wonderful girl: She was picked up as a stray and taken to local animal control. This sweetheart's muzzle, face, neck and front legs were covered with deep cuts and puncture wounds and she was at least 25 lbs underweight. We have no idea what happened to her. She has a number of metal pellets under her skin so we know she was shot at least once and her tail has been broken. It's obvious she had a tough life before she came to us. NEVER again!! This beautiful girl will only know love and compassion from here on! She has this incredible joy about her which amazes us considering her previous life. She loves people, which says a lot about the forgiving nature of this amazing dog. We would love to see Phoenix go to a home where her people either work from home or can take her to work with them (not absolutely necessary). She's a velcro dog, she wants to be with you all the time. We would also prefer a home with children over 10 years of age. She likes other dogs and would probably be fine with a laid back, polite, social, neutered male canine buddy.She likes to chase kitties so no cats.Phoenix deserves a second chance at a wonderful life.
