SAMMY's Story...
6 month old male Havanese. 10 lbs.. Sammy is so goofy and loves to play, and definitely likes other dogs, and he is good with cats too, he can get territorial if not corrected. He is being taught manners which he is very receptive to and is doing well with redirection .He is also in the process of getting potty trained and has picked it up fast, he goes outside and is a quick learner. He loves to sit on people's lap and watch tv.
His ideal home would be with a busy family, children 9 and up ok, someone that has time to take him for daily long walks which he loves...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SAMMY, a San Diego Havanese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Havanese puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
