Miss Jackson's Story...
Miss Jackson came to her foster mom from a colleague who was relocating to California and couldn’t take her. She used to live with three other cats. Now she lives a dog and sometimes foster puppies. She does very well with my dog, but hides when the puppies are over. She is very vocal and lets you know when she needs food, water and her litter changed. She purrs as soon as you start patting her. She would do best with an experienced cat owner because of how vocal she is. She comes running over when you call her and would make a great lap cat as she loves the attention. She has all her claws but has never been an outdoor cat. She's about 11 years young and in pretty good shape. She could afford to lose a pound but she's too proud. She's due for her rabies and distemper shots which are scheduled for 9/15.

Please note: All cats and kittens require an on-line adoption application be completed and sent BEFORE consideration for adoption can take place. On-line applications at www.billericacatcarecoalition.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Jackson, a N. Billerica Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in N. Billerica, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in N. Billerica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in N. Billerica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a N. Billerica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in N. Billerica paves the way for another one to be saved.
