When GSR was on Vaction, the babysitter was on her way to care for the furry kids and at 16th and Masters, she nearly ran into a cat that ran out in front of her car. The babysitter pulled over and within minutes had this little lady in her car and on the way to a new life. She set up Avon at the foster home with a blanket, food, water, litterbox and treated for fleas. Avon was so relieved to be off the street. The next day she appeared to have a miscarriage. She spent the next 5 days sleeping and eating and getting her strength back.
When GSR came home, Avon was taken to the PCCC clinic and she checked out well. She was neg for aids/luek, spayed, updated on all shots and dewormed. Once home she settled into life indoors and was a happy camper. She loves the sun coming in the windows and one on one attention with you. She is not fond of other cats but in a large home with space she could be fine with another four legger.

Green Street Rescue (GSR) is an all volunteer non-profit whose goal is to humanely reduce the stray cat population in Philadelphia, through rescue work and adoptions and the practice of Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) for feral cats.
