Dessa's Story...
Dessa-Collie mix female

Dessa- a gorgeous 3 year old brown Brindle Collie mix female, found as a stray a couple years ago. A kind family has cared for her and her daughter, Della but now find they an no longer keep them safe and cared for. They want them to have their own family with the time to give them. They would like to see the girls placed in the same home, but it's not necessary, if there is no other way to find them homes.
The adoption fee is $250 each, to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dessa, a Germantown Collie/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Border Collie for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Collie/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Border Collie breeders who help with Collie/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
