My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I would like to introduce myself: my name is Clarre, I am 2 or 3 years old and have just finished my treatment for heartworms. I am a medium to high energy girl in a petite body. I currently weigh 21lbs but need to put on about 2 more pounds to fill out my girlish figure.

I get along with the other dogs and cats in my foster home. We all like to play chase together. Sometimes I lead and sometimes I do the chasing. I like to bark while we are playing, sometimes I bark when I am sniffing something really exciting in the yard, but I don't bark too much outside of that.

I am a lucky girl that gets to go to work with my foster mom every day where I get to meet lots of other dogs and people. While I have met small children and seem okay, I am not around them for long periods of time so I am not sure yet how I would be with them. At night I sleep in my crate, my foster mom says I might get into mischief if I get to roam around at night.

I must say I have been pretty good about playing mostly with my toys (we have a lot!) and have been ignoring all my foster mom's shoes that are all over the place (except I seem to like slippers).

I am still working on potty outside, but I think I almost have it down, I just have to get out on a regular schedule.

Sometimes I get a little shy around men or new people, but after a few seconds I will come up and sniff the stranger to make sure they are okay.

If you are interested in giving me a forever home, please let my foster mommy know. I promise to give lots of love and wags!

PS ~ since I was heartworm positive, my family will need to make sure I get my regular heartworm treatment every month for the rest of my life.
