Pippi's Story...
Pippi (aka Sadie) is a beautiful long-legged, energetic girl who loves to run and play "chase" with other dogs. She is a little skittish with people and needs a little time to warm up and get comfortable with new people but she takes to other dogs right away! She would do best in a home with one or more other dogs so that she can be part of the "pack", and she is definitely more of a beta dog who is comfortable following an alpha. She is great on a leash--calm and steady-- and likes to take walks. Her ideal home would have access to a yard or area to run in, or the ability to take walks, and mentioned before, other dogs to interact with. She would be a great companion for someone who runs! She really likes to be able to stretch out her legs and go fast! She is a whippet/German Shephard/terrier mix; she looks like a very pretty, dainty version of a German shepherd, weighs about 30 to 35 pounds, and is not quite two years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pippi, a Sacramento Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
