Zeus's Story...
"Howdy! My name is ZEUS, and I'm a handsome and loving American Bulldog/ Pit Bull Terrier mix who is about one year old. Everyone at the shelter agrees that I'm a super-sweet, happy boy! I'm fun-loving and energetic, and I love to be near people. I love a good game of fetch, and I'll drop to the ground and roll over for a tummy rub whenever you want! I'm a happy fellow, and I enjoy taking walks and exploring the world. I'd need a yard in my new home so that I could run around and have fun. I'm young, smart, and eager to learn. You'll see that I'm a good boy, and I already know how to sit. I'm almost house trained; I just need a little encouragement. I will make a nice pet in an adult home (because of my size and energy level), and I would need to be the only dog in my new home. Please visit me in kennel #4 at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, then ask the helpful staff if you and I can get better acquainted in our play yard. I've got so much love to give!! Love, Zeus"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a El Cajon American Bulldog/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a American Bulldog/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Bulldog/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
