Yuki, pronounced “U-key” means “snow” in Japanese. Her birthday is June 9th, 2009. Like most Persians cats, Yuki enjoys sleeping and relaxing during the day. She loves to lounge on cool floors or at the end of a cozy bed or chair. She loves to explore her surroundings and hang out in new large shopping bags or boxes. Yuki enjoys playing with suede rope or her favorite feather toy.
For her new adoptive home, Yuki would get along well with large dogs and other cats, but may take some time to warm up to them, so a slow introduction is in order. She is shy around small dogs and young children. She does not like loud noises and would be happiest in a quiet home with a working professional who doesn’t travel, a mature adult or couple who can provide a lot of love and attention.
Yuki is being re-homed because her owner is now traveling a lot for her job and sees that increasing in the further. Yuki starting acting out her displeasure by urinating outside her litter box. She is now on Prozac Ointment/Fluoxetine Gel and a pheromone calming collar. This is helping with the potty issues but her owner knows she needs a more consistent love from her owner and someone who is home more for her.
Yuki needs lots of attention and care. She is a normal Persian and requires lots of brushing and grooming (cleaning the area around the eyes and combing her coat). She is a very petite girl, but she loves to eat! Her favorite canned food includes Science Diet or Max Cat chucky wet food and currently she is on Royal Canin "Persian 30" dry food. She also loves to be rewarded with soft cat treats or fresh turkey or tuna. She prefers non-scented litter and a very tidy litter box.
