Tara's Story...
IDGSR Welcomes Tara into the Rescue!

Tara is housebroke and crate trained and well mannered in the home.
She is a great walking and hiking companion.
Tara is a great snuggler and companion.
She is easy going but like any youngster she needs guidance and
a good structure and schedule to help her be the best dog she can be.
Obedience work goes a long ways for any dog, everyone loves a well
trained dog and Tara is eager to learn and make you proud.
Won't you open your heart to Tara? She has so much to give.

Tara is a wonderful German Shepherd mix pup, about a year old and sweet as can be. She has been socialized with other dogs and a cat and have done very well. She is in need of obedience training and has all the attributes of a puppy so she will need a family willing to commit to their full training.Tara is wonderful and sweet and ready to give you her heart. She is precious and would love to be your furever companion and friend.

Tara was rescued by an independent rescuer literally as she was on her way to the euthanasia room. The independent rescuer couldn't stand to see this happen and asked to save a total of 9 that day who were going to be killed. She contacted us to ask if we could help find them homes. If you would like to make Tara a member of your family, please apply with the rescue.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tara, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
