Amanda's Story...
This girl is a DOLL!! Amanda is abt 3 yrs old and is oh so sweet!!! This little angel is looking for a new home that has lots and lots of love to share with her. If you are unfamiliar with Cocker Spaniels, they are generally not a good choice for families with very young kids, but they do exceptionally well in homes with children old enough to respect a dog. They are usually happy, devoted companions that can adjust to city living or country living, as long as they are with you. They are not suited for outdoor living, as they are bred to be companions and that is what they live for. Amanda has just gone into foster care so as more of her personality shines through, this will be updated.

Be sure and check back this weekend for updated pictures as Amanda will get pampered by the groomer soon and you'll see for yourself what a beauty she really is.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Candy or Mark at 816/916-3685 or lelandsable-hahs@comcast.net to find out when and where you can meet AMANDA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amanda, a Overland Park Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
