My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Jerry
Breed: Boston Terrier
Gender: Male
Age: 2
Personality: Jerry is a delight. He came to us when the San Diego Shelter system asked us to take him due to some medical issues which required surgery. Jerry had several common issues for bostons.. Cherry eye in both eyes, brachycephalic respiratory syndrome with constricted nostrils and elongated palate, or throat, and a hypoplastic trachea. All of these issue have been surgically corrected along with a neuter. He has also been treated for parasites and he is now fully vaccinated, healthy and ready to find his wonderful new home. Jerry gets along with everyone except cats which he does not care for at all. He loves hanging out with the other dogs in the home, but does not really understand the concept of play. He will join in a game of chase and mouth a toy but does not yet understand bringing it back. He is happy and mellow and sweet. He loves kids about age 8 and loves car rides. Jerry has tons of happy love and will cover you with kisses from head to toe. His joy is going for a walk but he does pull a bit when out walking. He also will have a tendancy to eat everything he can get to (um yes, even poo) while he is on Prednisone so a clean yard is a must. Jerry loves hanging out in whatever room you are in and loves to snuggle up tightly next to you in bed at night. He will need a home where he is not left alone for long periods as he is most comfortable being near you. Jerry is just a joy and so much fun. He gets along great with other dogs and is a sweet boy.
Issues: Jerry was diagnosed with Pemphigus, a skin issue, in Dec of 2012 and has had total remission with steroid use. He is slowly tapering off and hopes are that he will have a complete remission. We hope to place in San Diego so that he can continue to follow up with the Dermatology clinic here.
Jerry's Story:
Two year old little boy who loves to hang out with the family and snuggle in bed
