My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Melo is a 4 month old Carolina dog mix. Melo was rescued from a kill shelter with his 4 siblings. They all have different markings/coloring and we can't be certain what they're mixes are. As such, we can't be sure how big Melo will be when fully grown, but think he will be medium/large. Melo is very sweet with people and kids. He likes other dogs, but needs a bit of time to warm up to them - he's fearful at first and behaves in a self-protective manner. With time, patience, and training, Melo will do fine with other animals. We never know what may have happened to our rescued dogs prior to coming into rescue and we suspect that Melo suffered from neglect and a lack of socialization. Since coming into rescue just a week ago, he's shown immense improvement and grows more confident with each day.

Melo is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and treated with a current dose of heartworm & flea preventative.
