Sophie's Story...
Sophie is a three year old American bulldog/boxer mix. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She is a family pet and loves adults and children. She is housetrained and leash trained. Sophie is looking for a new home because her family adopted a female American bulldog puppy and the two girls are not getting along. She does well with calmer female dogs and male dogs, but she might prefer to be an only dog. Sophie will be a wonderful addition to a family with children or any family looking for a devoted companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Richmond American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Richmond, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
