My name is Shots, life hasn’t been really great for me, but your going to take me home and love me a bunch right?! My first owner had me living out on the balcony of the apartment all day and night for about the first 6 months of my life… My most recent owner was great for a little while but the family split up and I was always alone for 10hours or more. I hardly ever got walks and my “outside” or potty time was on about a 12 foot leash tied to the front steps – at least all the dogs and friendly people of the neighborhood would stop by and pet me or play with me! I’m a really friendly girl and I am really liking the big fenced yard in my foster home! I can be a little stand offish when I first meet new people but after I’ve had a chance to give you a good sniff I’m all goofy. I really do like to meet new people and other pets. I love to play with other dogs of all sizes, I also don’t mind kitty cats – I don’t chase them and the kitten here always gives me hugs and kitty snuggles, he even plays with my ears and I don’t mind it at all. I am good with kids but loud little kids I tend to make me a little unsure so I try to avoid them. I am crate trained and I’m fully house trained, I also know some stuff like how to sit, out, off, no and come... Since I’ve been left alone so much and I so badly crave attention I really want a home where someone is home more often or not, I’m also nice enough for you to take me to work or around town for errands and visits with your friends or family! Sometimes when I am alone I sing a sad song, my howl is a low bay typical for my breed and other then when I am left alone too much you pretty much never hear a peep outta me. I’d love to go to work with you or to doggy day care instead of sitting home alone all day. It would be super awesome if you already have a dog, I think I’d be a great buddy for another dog, that would probably make me less sad when you leave me alone too. I love to go in the car, I love to be outdoorsy with my family and I am always up for a good snuggle on the couch with you. I’m a perfect mix of outgoing and active but I love to loaf around on the couch or my dog bed and watch movies with you too. I think it would be great if you made sure I got out every day for a brisk walk – I love to run even though I look really funny, my ears flap in the wind and my floppy lips are all over the place… I also love playtime in a fenced yard, oh and do you have a dog park nearby??? I love being social with other dogs! I also loooove to sniff like any Hound does so unless I am in a fenced yard I need to stay on the leash for my walks or if we go camping or something. I love my toys and they have a big bin of them here! I like to entertain myself with a squeaky ball or sometimes I bring the stuffy toys to my foster mom so she can see just how neat they are, she throws them for me to bring them back, I share my stuff really nicely with the other dogs too and I don’t care if people take it from me. If your home lots so I can get lots of lovin’ and if you have a house with a fenced yard I think I’m your girl!
