Miss Lissy is a 2.5 year old black lab mix. She and her mom and  brother were found in a junk yard, starving and scared. Now, Lissy is  a happy and healthy girl! She can be a little bit shy with new folks,  but is very friendly when she knows her people. She does well with  other dogs and has some basic obedience training. She has been spayed,  has all of her vaccinations and has completed a basic obedience class.

All the adoptable AARF dogs are in foster homes to get them ready for their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our adorable pooches, please fill out our adoption application and we'll get back to you with any questions. Then we can schedule a time for the two of you to meet!

Our Adoption Process...

All AARF dogs have all received their shots, are on heartworm and flea preventative, have been spayed/neutered and microchipped. All AARF pets are fostered in loving foster homes, where they receive love and attention, beginning training and socialization. We have a group of fantastic fosters who help us to create an adoptable and healthy companion for your home.

We don't "sell" dogs here at AARF. But we do ask for a minimum adoption donation to help us cover the cost of all of the vet care the dogs have received. Effective, January 1, 2010, our adoption donation is $225 for dogs. All adoption donations are tax-deductible, and help AARF continue our rescue and adoption program.
