Jamaica's Story...
Courtesy listing! Please contact amandacasarez@yahoo.com or call the DDR hotline at 818-407-4145 and not the group listed on this page.

Jamaica is a two-year-old Pit/Shepherd mix who had a loving home. Sadly, her family had to move and had no other plan other than to take her to the shelter. A kind neighbor who had known Jamaica all her life could not see her end up getting euthanized at the South L.A. Shelter so she stepped up and temporarily took her into her home as a foster, however, the foster home is only for a very limited time. Jamaica is good with children, other dogs, and is a friendly outgoing dog who would make a wonderful family pet. She has been spayed and vaccinated, and she weighs about 50lbs. Please contact amandacasarez@yahoo.com or call the DDR hotline at 818-407-4145 so that we can coordinate a time for you to meet up with the Jamaica and her foster guardian.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jamaica, a Bellflower Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
