Zoey's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zoey's Story...
Little Zoey is only about 8 lbs. She was surrendered when her owner had to go into a nursing home. She is small, only about 8 lbs and is quite a cuddler and lap dog. She loves other pets and especially people! The vet checked her out and mentioned that she has a very slight (almost not even worth mentioning) heart murmer and floating knee caps in her rear legs (very common in small breed dogs) and that it could cause her some arthritis later on down the line. Zoey is wee wee pad trained and fully vetted and ready to come to her new home. She still has a lot of life to give to her happy new owners! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Harrisonburg Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
