Big Daddy's Story...
WBRP SHELTER, PORT ALLEN, LA 225-336-2428
Big Daddy was owner surrendered along with his mate Blanche. Big Daddy is one big boy, he weighs right at 20 lbs and is 5 years old. He once had the best of life, he was an inside cat that was never let roam outside. He is neutered and declawed. Sadly his owners decided that they didn't have time for their kitties anymore and brought them to the shelter. You can tell that he is very depressed and doesn't know what has happened, he is so sweet and just a big love bug. Big daddy is beautiful, very laid back and has been very well taken care of, he is pretty fat. Big daddy is up to date on shots and again, he is declawed and neutered...so he is ready to go to his new home. If you would like a big beautiful, lazy lap cat, please call the shelter asap. Big Daddy needs a home! NO ADOPTION FEE at WBRP Shelter. All applicants are carefully screened, shelter reserves the right to refuse adoption.
West Baton Rouge Parish Animal Shelter is NOT a No Kill shelter, so please if you see an animal that you are interested in, contact them immediately. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Daddy, a Baton Rouge Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
