Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful boy is RONNIE a gorgeous Retriever/Black Mouth Cur mix Ronnie is 2yrs old he is a
stunning red golden color with absolutely gorgeous eyes He has a wonderful smile with beautiful white teeth.
RONNIES STORY .. Ronnie has had a rough deal this boy was surrendered to a high kill shelter by his original owner his paperwork says Surrendered due to hardship his owner had financial issues, so poor Ronnie found himself in a shelter surrounded by lots of terrified barking dogs. Ronnie didnt do well in the shelter he became timid and reserved amid all the confusion. Ronnie was quickly moved up onto the to be Euthanized list, dogs that don't do well in shelters move onto the list in a short period of time. Lifeline saw this boy and we pulled him from the shelter, Ronnie was taken to our vets where he was fully vetted and then brought into our facility. Ronnie was still a little reserved all the movement around just added to his confusion. Ronnie settled in well and enjoyed playing and running around with all the other dogs and he loved his new found freedom playing with the other dogs that were free to roam the property. After a while Ronnie had another move into foster care where it was less chaotic for him with only one other dog and more human interaction. Of course Ronnie blossomed in a home environment.Ronnie now needs a forever home where he has someone that can give him the love he deserves. A forever home that means forever. Ronnie is a sturdy boy yet he is still a little timid until he gets to know you but he warms up very quickly and responds to love, Ronnie is playful and when he knows you will jump up so a little discipline will be required after all he is just a pup. He dosent care for Chaos so a quieter home with lots of love and human interaction. He is not high energy but loves to run and play so I would say that a fenced in yard is needed. Ronnie weighs in at 50lb and he wont grow any more, he was well cared for in his previous home he has no health issues, Ronnie gets along with the other dogs a little timid around some of the larger ones but plays well with ones his size or smaller ones. We are unable to comment on cats but I would say a cat free home unless you have the experience to work with any issues that may come on board. I would say that a home with older children or a single couple or even a companion dog would work best. toddlers may create chaos Ronnie does better with a smaller family unit and adjusts well with less activity around. Ronnie loves to go on walks and he is good on a leash he will come when called and is very loving and playful when he feels secure and gets to know you and has a routine. He is a happy sweet boy that unfortunately was dealt a rough deal in his young life he needs a stable home and security. We dont ever want to see this boy back in a shelter.
Above all Ronnie needs love and cuddles and he will just blossom. Ronnie loves to play tug or ball he adores car rides he is house and crate trained. We would prefer a home were he is not left alone for long hours he is good in a crate when you leave and will be excited to see you when you return, but I would say that someone who is home most of the time would be a much better fit for Ronnie.
Could you be the one to open up your heart and home, and make RONNIE`s life complete again if so you will be rewarded with a wonderful , loyal faithful friend that will bring you endless hours of pleasure. If you would like more information , photos or meet Ronnie please contact us on 863-582-2150 or email us at info@lifelinedogrescue.org Ronnie is currently in the Winter Haven area.
