Maggie Sue's Story...
Hi there! I’m Maggie Sue and I am looking for a forever home! They say I am something called a Border Collie…but I think that I am just plain cute. Around 50lbs., I am 7 years young and past all of that crazy puppy behavior. I love people and most other dogs too. I love to go for walks and even a nice jog every now and then. And I just adore treats…of all kinds! They are my favorite thing. It would be great to find a home where I could lounge on a big dog bed and watch the world go by. Now, I know that older dogs can have a tough time finding a new home. Hopefully there is a family out there who will look past my age and see what a sweet, loyal companion I can be. In return, I promise to give them lots of love for years to come!

Might you be willing to give me that chance? If so, please come visit me at the shelter, or contact Mike and Jen at 440-463-8373 or mlray1013@gmail.com for more information. They are going to help me find my perfect family. Stop by soon cause I can’t wait to meet you!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie Sue, a Berea Bearded Collie/Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie/Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Berea, or seeking a Bearded Collie/Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie/Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Bearded Collie/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
