Duncan's Story...
Duncan is a 9 month old, male beagle mix who is ready for his forever home. He is house broken, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is neutered and current on all vaccines. At 15 inches and 27 pounds, Duncan is full grown. He is also SUPER cute! This chocolate boy has golden eyes that will melt your heart! He has a great personality to go along with his good looks.

As with all young dogs, Duncan needs a lot of attention and training. He is very playful and is on the go most of the day. Like a typical young beagle, when he crashes for a nap, he is out for the count! Duncan will need an active family that will keep him busy and worn out! Duncan would love to have a furry brother or sister, as he loves to play chase and tug of war. Duncan can get a little possessive, but is easily corrected. For an active dog, Duncan does take the time to do his share of cuddling and does give great beagle kisses! This handsome boy will make some family very happy, so apply today to come and meet Duncan!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Houston Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
