Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I am almost 8 years old now and Joanie is almost 9 years old so we aren’t wild and crazy like the young dogs but we sure don’t look or act as old as we actually are either. We are very well behaved in the house and never have to be crated. We do love cuddling on the furniture and hope our family will let us keep doing that. I like sitting on the arm of the couch and Joanie really likes sitting on the back of the couch cushion behind our foster mom. At night we also really, really like sleeping in the bed too. I sleep at the foot of the bed and Joanie cuddles really close to our foster mom and even likes getting under the covers!
We love going on car rides and walks… or anything really! We get along just fine with other dogs but I’m a little scared of dogs that are a lot bigger than me, I’m tiny! I am barely 12” tall and about 18 pounds. Joanie isn’t much bigger, only 13” tall and 20 pounds. We are really healthy although we love to eat like all beagles do so you have to help us keep our girlish figures! We also enjoy spending time with children and would probably do well with cats too.

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, THE FIRST STEP is to complete our adoption questionnaire. Please visit our website here and follow the instructions on adoption: Houston Beagle Rescue Our regular adoption fee is $225; special needs, mixes and senior dogs are $175, and pups 8 months and younger are $275. The fee includes the spay/neuter, the vaccines, flea and heartworm preventative/treatment, a new leash/ collar/ rescue ID tag, microchip, and some training. Some dogs may have had additional vetcare such as orthopedic surgeries, heartworm treatment or other procedures, but these "extras" will not affect their adoption fee. Donations to help with vetcare are always welcomed!
