My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Katie, a petite (32 pounds) 2 year/old female basset. I was rescued after living with someone who had 70 dogs who were not well-cared for. I recently had puppies and will be spayed before my adoption. When I went in for my vet exam, there was some bad news. I am positive for heart worm. The good news is that I have the earliest stage and it’s treatable. I will be starting treatment soon. I have been described as “very sweet”—I have “soulful” eyes. Yes, I can do the sad eye extremely well.

I act much younger than 2—I have reorganized my foster mom’s closets and shoes several times over—oh, did I mention that I take all the baby toys outside? Yes, I admit it was me and not my foster siblings. I get along well with the other 3 bassets and the baby that also lives there. He likes to lay on me—I don’t mind—I like any kind of loving.

Hey, if you find that other sandal, can you just slip it back in the closet? She has another one just like it.
