Farly's Story...
This litter of pups was rescued from Animal Care Services after they had been in foster care for a couple of weeks. The foster took them in to ACS to be spayed and neutered but said they were unable to continue fostering them. Luckily the SNIPSA crew had just arrived to take a look in the kennels and thes lil guys were the first ones we saw. Even though they had previously been vaccinated, we quickly got them out of the kennels to limit their exposure to any possible illnesses in there. Once we got them to the office, they played for what seemed like hours and finally all of them found the biggest dog bed in the office and they snuggled in close and slept. We named them Felipe, Frida, Fantasia, Fletcher, and Farly. Their puppy energy has no end. It took almost an hour to get just a few good pictures for their bios. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farly, a San Antonio Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
