My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chuckles (aka Chuck), a handsome 7-8 year old beagle/hound mix. He loves to walk and he is great in the car. He loves to cuddle, be scratched, and he loves people. Chuckles came to AZBR sick and scared, with his ribs and bones protruding. He visited the vet and we found that he had valley fever. He has been on valley fever medicine for about 5 months now, and soon will be retested to see if the fever is gone. He was also put on anti-anxiety medication to help him to be less scared.
Chuckles also participated in a 5-week "Arizona Partnership K-9 Group Socialization Basic Obedience" training (with his foster mom), which he completed successfully! He learned to heal, sit, come, and stay, and this course has helped Chuck with socialization skills and confidence! Chuck is a very intelligent boy and he grasps things quickly. Chuckles is also crate trained. He stays in his crate when his mom is not home. Otherwise, he has the run of the house. Chuck also eats in his crate, as do the other dogs, so all the dogs get to eat their own food.
Chuckles is now living with his foster mom, along with five other dogs and six cats. He would love to have a forever home of his own, ideally with someone who is home most of the time. He is a quiet and laid-back dog who loves to be loved and will return the love ten times over! Chuck would prefer to have you all to himself, or to live in a household with only one other dog. Chuck is too rough with cats, though. Chuck has a beautiful low howl and only uses it when there is something outside to howl about! He is not a constant barker. Would you like to meet Chuckles in person? He would love to spend some time with you and is most certain you will fall in love!
