My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nalu is deaf male Great Dane with beautiful blue eyes. He is 3 years of age and neutered. He is pretty lazy with the zoomies sprinkled in here and there. He loves to run around and explore around our large yard. I'm getting him used to the Halti collar (which he hates), but once he starts walking and sniffing he forgets about it. He lived with a small dog, so I'm assuming he's very good small dogs. He's been terrific with my Great Dane and my cat. He's excellent in the car and is completely housebroken. I was told he was never crate trained and I think he would panic if he were placed in one. So we don’t want him crated while the family is gone. I suspect that he does have slight vision problems; especially at night. I think a family with lots of Dane experience would be ideal and not necessarily need deaf dog experience, although that would certainly help. He really is a dream boy with only his special need to take into consideration. He will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
