Moose's Story...
8-10 weeks
11 lbs
Mix: he is too young to really tell, but our best guess based on his current look is pointer/pit mix.

This little puppy was living with a homeless family in Los Angeles. They were trying to sell him for profit and brought him to the vet's office to try and get the vet to buy the puppy.

We explained the puppy needed immediate surgery and we would be happy to take the puppy off their hands and cover the surgery if they would relinquish the puppy to us. They said no and left.

Well, low and behold we now have the puppy a week later. A kind lady somehow got her hands on this little guy and immediately brought him to the lovely Animal Wellness Centers who is taking amazing care of Moose. Now he is safe but needs immediate surgery to fix his umbilical hernia.

Moose will have surgery to repair his surgery, be neutered and fully vaccinated before placed with an adoptive family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Moose, a Los Angeles Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
