** READ ALL THE WAY TO THE END FOR MEET-N-GREET INFO **

Vroom! Start your engines because these pups are ready to roll!

The NASCAR litter might be petite in size but not in personality. They love to play, and they’re having a blast in foster care. They love that their foster home has plenty of kids to play with and lots of activity because they like being in the thick of it all. Don’t let those sweet faces fool you. They can run and chase a ball with the big boys.

Their mother didn’t have the best start, but she got very lucky. When she found herself a stray and pregnant, she was taken in by a family so she would have a safe, warm place to have her pups. Even though they had no plans to keep her or the pups permanently, at least she was able to stay with them for the first six weeks to get her pups off to a good start.

Now their foster family has taken over, and they are loving all the fun they’re having with the pups. Their older foster brother, Fozzie, is showing them the ins and outs of being a dog. He’s making sure to cover all of the really important stuff.. .. like the best techniques for getting maximum petting time and where to find the greatest toys and treats.

We believe the pups are German Shepherd/Beagle mixes. Three of the four are actually the spitting image of their mom, but little Stewart seems to take after Daddy. Based on their current size and age and Mom’s size, we’re expecting the pups to be 30 to 35 pounds as adults, so potential adopters should plan on a small to medium-sized dog when they’re all grown up.

The pups are not yet housebroken, but they’re getting a good foundation with their foster parents. They just need a bit more practice and maturity, so expect some accidents in the beginning while they get the hang of it. We recommend crate training as the easiest way to housebreak a new puppy, and we’ll be happy to give you some tips.

** SPECIAL MEET-N-GREET INFO **

These pups will be meeting potential adopters in a special meet-n-greet during the National Petsmart Adoption event, Saturday, September 15, at the Boardman Petsmart (1101 Doral Drive) from 11am to 3pm. If you are interested in adopting one of these cuties, you’ll want to be at this event.

The pups are only 6 weeks old right now, so they can’t go home right away, but this is your first opportunity to RESERVE your favorite. To reserve, you must come to the event to meet them. Once you’ve chosen your favorite, you can fill out an adoption application. If approved, you must leave a 50% deposit ($100) to reserve your pup.

They already have appts with the vet for their spays/neuters as soon as they reach 8 weeks old, so you won’t have long to wait for your puppy. They can go home with you as soon as they are fixed.
