My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NICHOLAS***CONTACT LAURIE lottoson@yahoo.com***NICHOLAS- is a 2 year old, 45 lb., gorgeous, Flat-Coated Retriever looking for his forever home! Nicholas is a calm, sweet, and gentle boy. He loves people and loves to be with them! He is a huge snuggle bug and would love to join you in bed or on the couch if that's your thing! Nicholas' tail is constantly wagging and he likes to follow you wherever you go. Nicholas is a quiet guy- he is happy to rest at your feet or go for a walk. He loves to chew on bones. Nicholas is house trained, does not need to be crated and is not destructive when left alone. In his former life something happened to his tail so he only has half of one- but that doesn't stop him from happily wagging! We think it gives him character! Nicholas walks well on a leash and wants to be right by your side! He will often lean into your leg as he walks. It seems he has not had much exposure to things like cars, skateboards, or airplanes so he is sometimes a little unsure as to whether they are scary or not!

Nicholas is currently being fostered with two male dogs and a cat. He is curious about cats and does well with them- he is very gentle and will sometimes try to play. The other day he was rubbing my cats back! Nicholas is learning to find his place in a house full of males. As my big boys cam be a bit much for him, we recommend a home with non-dominant dogs. However, with proper introduction and the right dog we are confident Nicholas will be fine. He is such a love and will make an absolutely wonderful addition to your family. We truly would keep him if we could!
Nicholas is neutered, he is current on all vaccinations including Rabies and Bordetella. He is heartworm negative, on preventative, dewormed and on flea and tick preventative as well. Nicholas is with his foster family in CT. His adoption fee is $450. if you would like more information about making nicholas a part of your family please CONTACT LAURIE lottoson@yahoo.com
