I am 1 year old. I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE ME! Murphy is an athletic dog who would do best in an active, structured, adult-only home with another dog. Murphy loves to go on walks, play with other dogs, and at the end of the day, snuggle you on the couch. He loves every toy he has ever seen, and is a champion at de-stuffing his stuffed animals! Murphy has been in training to learn how to interact appropriately with people as he was showing some fear aggression when introduced to new situations and people. Murphy has made significant improvements. Murphy tends to bond very closely with his people, and can become protective so continued training and/or an experienced dog owner is a must. Given his athleticism, Murphy would possibly do well at agility training or scent work. Murphy does have a cherry-eye which the vet says currently causes him no discomfort and can be fixed surgically in the future if desired. Murphy is crate trained, knows how to heel, sit, lay down, and is house broken. He currently lives with a dog and two cats, and behaves well with all of them. Good with other dogs. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and started on Heartgard Plus & Frontline Plus. We do not have a history on most of the animals up for adoption since we rescue them Animal Control and they are usually labeled as strays. We can only tell you their behavior since they have been with us. We do not know the specific breeds of each dog. Once again, because they are rescued we have to guess as to what they MAY be a mix of.
