Turtle's Story...
Turtle came to shelter as a stray and the next day she gave birth here at the shelter! She has done a great job of caring for her kittens all on her own and now they are getting bigger and bigger by the day. Turtle is often found carrying her soft toys around in her mouth as she walks around observing her now big kittens play. Turtle has been a wonderful mother and now it is time for her to a loving home to call her own, would like to be Turtle's people mom and take care of her just as lovingly as she did her young? Then please come meet Turtle! To meet her just stop by the shelter on Tuesday or Saturday during our normal business hours. Tuesday or Saturday doesn't work for you? To meet the animals any day of the week please call for an appointment and the staff will be happy to set you up with a date and time to visit us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Turtle, a Chippewa Falls Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chippewa Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chippewa Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chippewa Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chippewa Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chippewa Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
