Bentley's Story...
Courtesy Posting:
This is Bentley. He is between1 and 2 years of age and weighs about 50-55 lbs. He is a rottie mix - we are not sure what he is mixed with but he definitely has the markings or a Rottweiler. He was sitting on someone's porch one morning so they called Animal Control to come and pick him up.

Bentley has a very sweet personality. He knows how to sit and shake. He walks great on a leash and does not pull at all. He likes the other dogs at the shelter and has never shown any aggression whatsoever. He has been kid tested and even one of the volunteer's daughter who is 7 can walk him. He is playful and loving and would make a wonderful pet for someone who has a dog or someone who does not have a dog. As far as cats go, he is curious about the cats and goes up to the cages to look at them, wagging his tail the whole time.

Bentley came in with a skin allergy. It looks like he may have had a flea allergy. He will go to the vet soon. He was flea treated and was given a medicated bath. He is not scratching or itching so it may have been from a while ago and his hair has just not had a chance to grow back.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Warren Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Warren, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
