Malcolm's Story...
This is Malcolm, or Mal for short. (named after Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reyolds from the t.v. series Firefly) He was rescued by a friend of two of our volunteers. She found him in the parking lot leaving work one night and just couldn't leave him there. He's been with her for a while, since she couldn't find his owners, despite her best efforts. And she cannot keep him, due to the cost of her dog's medical bills and other expenses. The vet said he's about 4 years old, he's on Hivite Drops (high liquid vitamins), got deworming shot, flea treated, bathed, and will be neutered. She was going to get him his vaccinations as well, but just can't afford it at this time. If you adopt Mal, you can get his shots at the Pet Supplies Plus on South Main in Centerville, or the one on Stroop in Kettering when the Low Cost Vet Clinic visits the stores. They usually have them on a Sunday every month. Please call stores for details. Kettering-(937)294-7655 Centerville-(937)438-8825. THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. Contact Angela Norris at (937)694-5592 if you are interested in adopting Mal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malcolm, a Fairborn Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Fairborn, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Fairborn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairborn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairborn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairborn paves the way for another one to be saved.
