Abbie's Story...
Introducing Abbie! Born late June, 2012, she's just a tot and sweet as can be. Abbie's outgoing and loves to play, especially outside. She's great to cuddle with, especially when she's sleepy. So soft and warm! She has the most adorable droolly mouth after she drinks from her bowl and she's not stingy with wet kisses afterward! She's smart and responding well to housetraining (not quite there yet). She's gentle most of the time but her play bites pack a crocodile punch with her sharp puppy teeth! It's natural behavior for her age but we're working on curbing the mouthing by giving her chew toys. Abbie's got a big personality and we believe she may be an alpha gal. She's exuberant with other dogs and loves the activity kids bring to the table. She likes cats but mostly for chasing! so we're working on that too. All in all Abbie is 100% pure, precious puppy and a perfect age for bonding and growing up with her new family.
If you're interested in adopting Abbie, please contact her foster mom, Annika, at 678-457-2413. Or contact adoptions@homelesspets.com or fax an application (found at homelesspets.com/adoptions) to 770-971-1292.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbie, a Marietta Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
