Kane's Story...
Kane 4 year old Husky

This sweet guy was on deaths doorstep when our rescue pulled him from the pound. Kane was severely emaciated and had bloody stool among other issues. Luckily he had a horrible worm infestation but no serious health problems. Kane is good with other dogs and loves people. He has the sweetest face and looks at you so lovingly with those baby blues. Kane will be with us in foster care for several more weeks to get him back to optimum health. Kane will be neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, micro-chipped and started on preventives before adoption. Kane will need a forever home with a fenced in yard as Huskey's like to roam.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are thoroughly vetted. You can call 540-256-2991 for more information or apply to adopt at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kane, a Staunton Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
