Allie's Story...
ALLIE female, vet checked, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested (-), tx flea preventative, ~2.5yrs, ~25lbs, Dachshund mix.

Rescue from high kill shelter.

Super cute, long and low little lady, she is a beautiful and unique chocolate/tan smooth coat with white on her chest. Allie gets along well with other dogs, cats and respectful kids. She enjoys a good daily walk and is nicely mannered in the home. She is house trained and crate trained. Allie would be a nice second dog or fine on her own. Allie is suitable for house or apartment living providing she gets enough exercise and outdoor play time but would do well in a house with a fenced yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA paves the way for another one to be saved.
