Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"There is a very special little three-year-old Chihuahua fellow at the El Cajon Shelter, who is sweet, gentle, and very lovable, and who would love to have a new forever home with you. That special little dog is me....and my name is HOMER. I just know there is a very kind person or family out there that would love to make me their very own. I get along well with other dogs, and it would be nice if I could have a little dog buddy to keep me company and to play with in my new home. I'm a sensitive and gentle fellow who loves to sit on laps, loves to snuggle and cuddle, and enjoys going for walks. I especially like to lie down on my back while you cradle my head and rub my belly. Since I'm small and sensitive, I would do best in a home with older, considerate children. Also, I have too much fun chasing kitties, so I'd need to be in a home that has no cats. I'd love a little yard, where I could enjoy myself, and also have a soft and snuggly dog bed in the house, so that I could stay close to my person or my family. I have a beautiful black, shiny coat, and I have 4 white paws (how cute is that!). Being small, I know that I would be the perfect size to be an incredible house (or apartment) dog. The shelter staff isn't sure if I'm house trained, so they're watching me. We have great exercise yards here at the shelter, which are the perfect place for us to get to meet and get to know each other. Just ask out wonderful Shelter Staff to introduce you to the handsome little fellow whose name is HOMER, and we just might discover that we are meant to be best friends "FUR"EVER. Come and hold me in your arms and hold me close to your heart, 'cause I think your heart will melt when we meet!. I'll be watching and waiting for you, so I hope you plan to visit our shelter soon. I can hardly wait to meet you. Love, Homer" Kennel #8
