Lovely and playful LOLA needs to find a new forever home. Lola is eight years old, and she still has that special spark that Boxers are known for. She loves to bound around the play yard and have fun, but she's also able to settle down nicely and enjoy a good belly rub. Lola gets along nicely with other dogs and with children, so she'd make a wonderful pet for just about any person or family. Lola would enjoy a nice yard and an easy daily walk in her new home. Lola is already house trained, and she knows some commands, like sit, stay, and shake. She's an all-around great dog! Also, Lola's adoption fee is only $30 because she is one of our "Super Seniors." Her adoption fee includes her shots, a microchip, and a check-up at one of our local vets. Please visit Lola in kennel #24, then ask our helpful staff if the two of you can get better acquainted in our play yard.

We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.
We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.
We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
