Kalika's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Kalika was rescued in Surrey and placed with Salim in a foster home. She has alert green eyes, a long delicate slender body and legs, and a little kink at the end of her tail.

Kalika is very adventurous and loves to explore her surroundings. She took no time at all to adjust to her new foster home. She is very affectionate, and comes looking for cuddles when she has had enough of playing. Kalika loves to play! it is what she lives for! She could spend hours playing with various toys, and will jump and spin and do whatever it takes to get that toy! She is very entertaining and her moves are impressive! She also loves to be near people, and will follow you around the house to see what you are doing.

Kalika and Salim love to be all snuggly together. You will often find them curled up in a ball together and snoozing the afternoon away on the couch, a sight that will melt your heart. Kalika and Salim must be adopted together.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kalika, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
