Ava's Story...
Hello-My name is Ava. I am a small (13 lb) 14 month old Female Rat Terrier. I was found as a stray on the streets of Chula Vista. I was at the shelter for almost 2 months. I was so sad and alone! The nice folks at HeartToHeart small dog Rescue have taken me in and they tell me every day that someone will come to love me. Could you be my someone? I am very friendly, extremely sweet and smart to boot. Brain and beauty-that is me!!!. I already know how to sit and know what going outside to do my business means. I a bit scared and apprehensive about car rides. My foster Mom is working with me on the car ride situation. What can I say? everyday is a new learning experience. I just want a warm lap to sit in again. Is your lap available for me?.My adoption fee is $175.You can see more pictures of me here

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ava, a Irvine Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
