Lilo's Story...
Some dogs, like people, seem destined for happiness. Nothing gets them down. They're the ones who inspire quotes like "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" (which really irritates pessimists)!. Well, folks, Lilo has made lots of lemonade so far in her short life! The little gal was turned over to a local shelter. She'd been found on her own with a badly injured leg and acid burns down her back. Nursed back to health she kept a smile on her sweet face the entire time. Her leg could not be saved but even this didn't keep Lilo down for long. In record time, she was playing with other dogs, tossing toys in the air by herself and basically have the time of her life. She has a great personality and is a joy to be around. She's happy just hopping around and playing on her own and just as pleased to have a human or canine playmate. Lilo is a low-maintenance girl. She's around 5 months old so is a prime age for bonding with her new family. Act fast, Lilo won't be "adoptable" long! Email adoptions@homelesspets.com or fax an application (found at homelesspets.com/adoptions) to 770-971-1292. Or come visit Lilo and her friends at 1343 Gresham Rd, Marietta 30062 (Mon-Thurs 8-8, Fri 8-3). A temporary home would be fantastic too! She's working on getting the housetraining thing down but isn't quite there!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilo, a Marietta Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
